The DI Avengers chose to have a basketball camp to raise money to buy sports equipment for kids because being healthy is important for everyone. We have a dream that kids that don't have sports equipment would be able to get some. We were inspired by Martin Luther King, Jr and his I Have a Dream speech. We believe that every kid should have the chance to be healthy. Did you know that 3 out of 10 kids are either obese or overweight? We picked Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee because 80% of Club alumni said the Club had a positive impact on their attitude toward fitness and health ( according to a Harris Survey).
